Erik Lundin,
Degerfors IF 1936-47. DIF’s first Swedish  international player. First and only cap against Lithuania, 1939.

Lars “Hofors Lasse” Eriksson,
Degerfors IF player in early 1950’s Swedish international. Played in France 1953-58, Toulouse FC, FC Séte, FC Grenoble. Returned to Sweden to Sandvikens IF.

Bertil “Sippan” Tinglöf,
Degerfors IF 1948-65, 267 appearances. Goalkeeper when DIF was runner’s up in Allsvenskan 1963. One of Sweden’s best ever ‘keepers.

Thomas Nordahl,
Gunnar Nordahl’s son. Degerfors IF 1961-64. Örebro SK. RSC Anderlecht 1968-71, returning to Örebro SK 1971-78. Swedish international.

Ulf Ottosson,
DIF’s 2nd most number of appearances after Henrik Berger, and leading goal scorer .  FC Locarno, Braga, IFK Norrköping, Norwich City FC.

Daniel Tjernström,
KB Karlskoga, 3 years with DIF mid 1990’s, Örebro SK. Joined AIK Stockholm made captain in 2005. Scored the winning goal securing the Swedish Allsvenskan League title 2009.

Olof  Mellberg,
AIK Stockholm, Racing Santander, Aston Villa (capt), Juventus, Olympiakos, Swedish international (ex. capt).

Bertil Nordahl,
Olympic Gold with Sweden 1948, same year was awarded Guldbollen,  (Player of the Year). In 1949 he signed for Atalanta, becoming the second Swede to become professional in Italy. The first Swede to become professional was brother Gunnar, who had signed the previous week for AC Milan.

Milenko Vukcevic,
”Mille” with the golden left foot. Starred in the 1990’s with DIF. Had a short, but successful term as Head Coach in 2007, when he steered DIF clear of relegation, with 6 straight wins.

Dusko Radinovic,
European Cup winner with Red Star Belgrade 1990-91.  Played together with Vukcevic in DIF, in the mid 1990’s.

Vujadin Stanojkovic,
FK Partizan Belgrade,Yugoslavia & Macedonia. Played together with Vukcevic & Radinovic in the mid 1990’s in DIF. Now Assistant coach to Macedonian national team.

István Wampetits,
One of the most influential coaches in DIF’s history. Discovered the Nordahl brothers in northern Sweden during a close season tour, in the early 1940’s.

Olle Åhlund,
one of DIF’s all time greats. Coach. Swedish international.

Eric Hamrén,
former Head Coach at DIF, now Swedish National coach.
